2. Furtive: Stealthy, sly, secretive

3. Subsided: To sink to a lower level

4. Impalpable: Incapable of being perceived by the senses

5. Conditioned: Consistent pattern of behavior or thought

6. Ravenously: Intensely eager

7. Parody: Imitation

8. Ludicrous: Causing laughter; absurdity
