  3. Yo soy = I am nosotros somos = • Túeres = you are (informal) we are • él he is ellos they are (m) • ella es = she is ellas son = they are (f) • Ud. you (formal) are Uds. you all are

  5. Notes on expressing origin: • In order to ask where someone is from we use the question word ¿De dónde? = From where ex: ¿De dónde eres tú? • To state where you or someone is from we use this format: ex: form of ser + de + (country of) origin Yo soy de Nueva York.

  6. Asking/stating where people are from: • ¿De dónde eres tú? Yo soy de Nueva York. • ¿De dónde es Juan? Juan es de los Estados Unidos. (los EEUU). • ¿De dónde es Ud? Yo soy de Mahopac. • ¿De dónde son Ana y Marta? Ellas son de Cuba. • ¿De dónde son Uds? Nosotros somos de Peru.
