  2. Where to: draw the parts ofthe face You will need: Small sheet of paper from the shelf Pencil Eraser Eventually, your folder

  3. Start by finding the middle of your page • Draw an eye and an eyebrow, slightly off center • Eyes should be 1 eye-width apart Placing the Eye

  4. Placing the Nose • Nose length can vary, but generally is 3 eyes high • The width of the nostrils line up with the inside edges of the eye

  5. 1/3 of the face is eyebrow to bottom of nose • 1/3 of the face is bottom of nose to chin • 1/3 of the face is eyebrow to hairline • Eyes rest in the middle of the head Creating the shape of the head

  6. Ears will rest in the middle 1/3 of the face • They can ride a little low, or a little high Finding the ears

  7. Divide the space from the nose to chin into thirds • The opening of the mouth is 1/3 of the way down from the nose • The corners of the mouth will match up with the centers of the eye • The chin will be the last third of the space Placing the Mouth
