  1. Alabama Yellowhammers About us/investor information

  2. Products • Fans are attracted to our team because we are a serious football team and are very active in the community. Our logo shows the strength and ferocity of are team and shows fans that we are serious about winning. • We take part in a couple of community service activities such as the all day foundation founded by our own player Adrian Peterson, and we promote the Plant for the planet foundation by funding them with money we get from jersey sales.

  3. Athletes • Our athletes do a very good job at representing are team. They are all highly skilled athletes who are the best at their positions and consistently give their best on the field. All of them have playoff experience and some of them have a super bowl win under their belt. • These players help our team gain fans by always performing at high levels and providing quality entertainment for fans who watch the games. They also give fans something to brag about because our players provide our fans with wins weekly.

  4. Tickets • Our stadium has a variety of seating options that allows our fans to comfortably enjoy the game from wherever they want to sit. The different seating options include: • Upper level 1-4 • Sky boxes • Suites • Field level • Are tickets are priced to provide affordability to all of our fans and to be similar to the university of Alabama's ticket prices because we share Bryant denny stadium

  5. products • Our store includes items geared towards the wants of our fans. These items include: • Yellowhammers t-shirt • Yellowhammers hoodie • Yellowhammers tank top • Yellowhammers long sleeve • Yellowhammers snap back • Yellowhammers drawstring bag • Yellowhammers mug • Yellowhammers bumper sticker • Yellowhammers towel • We try and price our items so that both the team and the fans benefit from it. We want our fans to be able to afford to buy our products but also allow our team to make profits.

  6. Local Area • There are many local attractions that people could visit but there are a few that standout to us. A few of those places are the university of Alabama where fans of ours can see the crimson tide play football or other sports. They could also visit the Tuscaloosa Museum of art that includes paintings from many famous artist such as William frye. Fans can also enjoy some food at some of the finest restaurants in Alabama like bobs victory grille where they can grab a bite to eat and enjoy their favorite games on the many tvs located throughout the place. Or they might enjoy eating some of the best Italian food around at depalmas.

  7. Ticket prices • Depending on where you sit in the stadium and if you bought a single game ticket or season ticket will affect how high ticket prices are. For example a field level ticket is more expensive than an upper level ticket. • Upper level tickets cost between $55 and $99 fans are willing to pay for these seats because they are very cheap and allow you to see the whole field from a high vantage point. • Sky boxes cost $100 Located between the upper level and field level seats fans want these seats because they are in an air conditioned room but are also close to the game. • Suites cost $150-$400 fans are willing to pay for these tickets because they are in an air conditioned room that has refreshments and a bathroom in the suite along with TVs to get a better look at the game. • Field level tickets cost 300$ fans are prepared to pay for these expensive seats because it is as close to the game as you can get. Occasionally a ball may fly into the stands allowing for fans on the field level to catch the ball and bring it home.

  8. Concessions • Fans while at a game are going to want something to eat or drink. They may also want to bring home some other merchandise such as jerseys or team shirts. Fans are willing to buy these things because they will not have to get up and move in order to buy them thanks to our wireless vendor app. All their orders will be delivered to them as fast as possible. Prices of merchandise from concessions will be cheaper to buy in the stadium then they will be anywhere else so fans will want to take advantage of this situation.

  9. Merchandise • We like to price our products using a supply and demand strategy. We change our prices based on how much of a certain item we have and the popularity of that item. Fans will want to buy our products so they can show support for our team and because the prices are low because we don’t need to make money fast in order to pay off a brand new stadium since we are sharing a stadium with the university of Alabama.

  10. promotion • In order to attract people to come to our games we have set up some promotions on our website. These promotion include things like discounts on merchandise sold in our stadium and online and deals where if you buy a ticket to our games you get half off a ticket to the university of Alabama’s college games. We do have a facebook and twitter page where we do post stories and all the latest news on our players and team. On twitter we always try to get our teams slogan trending so more people see it and come watch our games.

  11. Distribution of tickets • Tickets will be sold at a variety of locations such as the stadium box office, online at sites like ticketmaster, and on our teams website.

  12. Distribution of products • Fans can buy our teams products at a number locations like our teams website, nfl.com, from stadium vendors, local sports shops, and online at nike.com or at nike stores.

  13. placement • We chose this location because it already had a very big stadium that could seat over 100 thousand people and is in one of the most popular regions for football. We also chose it because the stadium is located on a college campus where there ae over 34 thousand students located on campus who can come see the games every Sunday. There are also a lot of sports bars and grills like bobs victory grill where fans can go to watch the game.

  14. Target demographic • Are target audience Is not really based on age or gender because we want everyone to come to our games. However we do target families with a medium to high income level because they are able to spend more money on our teams products.

  15. economics • Are team can benefit from where it is located because it is located on a heavily populated college campus where students are looking for things to do on the weekends. Also there are a lot of huge local sponsors such as Mercedes-benz that are able to provide a lot of revenue for the team. • A big problem the city may now face is it may now have major traffic problems on both Saturday and Sunday now because of the college football games and our teams football games.

  16. revenue • Are team is able to generate revenue in a lot of ways. The main things that affect revenue are the price of our tickets and the prices of our products and merchandise. Our tickets are the biggest source of revenue with prices ranging from $55 to $1000 dollars based on the seat and the game. We also generate a lot of profits from the sale of our merchandise online and in our stadium.

  17. sponsors • All of our sponsors benefit from working with our team and our athletes. Most sponsors like nike and Mercedes-benz benefit in having our fans see their products on our athletes or in advertisements in the stadium or on our website and during our games on TV. • our sponsors are good sponsors because they are geared towards the wants of our fans. We chose Budweiser to be our sponsor because it is the most popular beer brand in the south. • Our athletes are also sponsored by very good companies who represent what are players are all about. For example clay Matthews is known for his hard work and play making abilities on the field but he is even more identifiable by his long hair which is why Redken chose to endorse him.

  18. Economic risks • There are a lot of economic risk are team may face, but the worst economic risk out there is not being able to bring in enough revenue to support the team. Other risks are out of are grasp and are mainly based on how the government changes. Things like government regulation, taxes, and changes in currency are risk that we may have to face. In order to deal with economic risks it is very good to stay up to date with politics in order to see what changes are government are making to the regulation of businesses.

  19. Natural risk • Natural risk are risk that naturally occur and we have no control over. Since we are located in the south we are faced with the natural risk of hurricanes, but we are also faced with other risk such as earthquakes, infestations, fires, explosions, and hazardous materials like gas leaks. In order to deal with things like fires and gas leaks we have set up fire alarms, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and a sprinkler system.

  20. Human risk • Human risk can be caused by not only are fans, but also by our own staff and team members. Employees may have personal problems such as drug abuse or alcoholism that they need help with or some employees may get sick or injured on the job and may not be able to work for a period of time. Also fan safety is a number one concern when talking about human risk. We want to make sure our fans are safe at all times. In case of an emergency we have emergency exit stairs that can be found in all corners of the stadium. We have safety railings all throughout the stadium to prevent anyone from falling and getting hurt. We have rehabilitation programs for our staff who have drug addictions or other issues. We also provide health insurance for all of our players and staff in case they get hurt.

  21. Project summary • During this semester we have learned a lot about marketing, but a few examples of things we learned really stand out to us. One of those things is marketing mix and the 4 P’s: price, place, product, and promotion that we had to use in our marketing mix project and in our final project. Another thing that really stands out in are minds is economic utility and the four types of utility: form, time, place , and possession. We used economic utility to come up with our own innovations to improve our business and to satisfy consumers in the economic utility challenge project. We also learned about the importance of marketing in sports and how both the sponsor and the team/players are able to gain from the situation.

  22. Project summary cont. • We learned that you need to pay very close attention to what you consumers want in the area you are located in in order to improve your economic utility. We leaned that a lot of precautions have to be taken into account in order to ensure your teams economic and physical safety. The important role of sponsors and how they provide funding for teams and players, and how players and team provide exposure for the companies and help them make a profit.

  23. Course suggestions • We would suggest in the future that the march madness project be removed from the course because it takes to much time to complete and shifts focus from the team projects.
