  16. Firefighters hold rally in support of legislation at State House Firefighters from across Alabama rallied Wednesday at the State House on legislation affecting them and other public employees. About 75 firefighters were at the rally, joined by state and international leaders of firefighters' unions. The idea of the rally was to get firefighters involved and have them talk directly to legislators about what they do, Professional Fire Fighters of Alabama President Steve Pegues said.
