  2. Why is it important to have a variety of living things in the bay? It is important to have a variety of living things in the bay. The soft shell clams are Important to the bay because they dissolve bad things. Zooplankton are important to the bay because they are a part of the food chain. Toadfish are important to the bay because other animals depend on they. My research will show that Soft shell clams ,zooplankton ,and toad fish are important to the bay.

  3. Soft shell clams Soft shell clams keep the bay water clean . After soft shell clams dissolve the bad things in the bay they spit out clean water. Soft shell clams are food for other animals. Soft shell clams are filter feeders. Soft shell clams feed on dead things. Soft shell clams are scavengers.

  4. More about zooplankton Scientist say the information about zooplankton is valuable . Zooplankton form the base of the bay’s food chain. Zooplankton are food for animals like shell fish. scientist say that zooplankton are a very important part of the bay. All fish depend on zooplankton as an important food source . Zooplankton feed off of the algae in the bay.

  5. Conclusion In conclusion I learned that almost all the animals in the bay are important because they all play a part in the food chain . I also learned that it is important to have a variety of animals so they can all do their part with helping the bay.
