  2. Why is it important to have a variety of animals in the Bay? • It is important to have a variety of living things in the Bay. Horseshoe crabs are important because horseshoe crabs protect our health and provide food for shore birds. Blue crabs are important to the bay because they help clean the bottom of the bay. Oysters are important because oysters clean the water and help the rest of animals in the bay.   3. Horseshoe Crabs • Horseshoe crabs are not crabs. Horseshoe crabs have gills and 5 pairs of walking legs . Horseshoe crabs can swim upside down . Horseshoe crabs live in deep shallow water Horseshoe crabs eats clams and marine worms. Fish and Birds eat their eggs.   4. Blue Crabs • Blue crabs are important because they’re a part of our food chain . Blue crabs are found in brackish costal lagoons. Blue crabs have their own language for humans.   5. Oysters • Oysters are important because they live in reefs. Oysters health are important to the bay. Oysters eat algae from the bay floor. Oysters eat Bactria that’s in the bay.   6. Conclusion • In conclusion I learned that horseshoe crabs and blue crabs are important because they take care of our health and provides food for us.
