  1. The city of Volos • Volos  is a coastal portcity in Thessaly situated midway on the Greek mainland, about 326 km north of Athens and 215 km south of Thessaloniki. It is the capital of the Magnesia regional unit. Volos is the only outlet to the sea from Thessaly, the country's largest agricultural region. With a population of 144,420 (2011), it is an important industrial centre, while its port provides a bridge between Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

  6. The myth of the “CENTAURS” The name of our school is “Centaurus”. According to Greek mythology centaurus were human beings, whose body was half human, from the waist up and half horse from the waist down. They lived out in nature on mount Pelion in our area.

  7. The most famous of them all was Centaur Cheron who was consider a wise man, was immortal and was teacher to half gods – hlf kings. Some of his well Known pupils were Aesculapius the father of medicide, Achilles, Jason.

  8. Special Education in Greece has relatively short history. The basis of Special Education in Greece at present is the school offering education to children with many difficulties( deaf, blind, autism, severe learning difficulties). Usually there are units that share the same premises with a mainstream school. Last years the are teachers as a parallel support
