  1. Destruction of the environment Wojciech Olejniczak Publiczne Gimnazjum nr 2 w Staszowie

  2. Industrialization Human was changing the environment for ages. He chopped down forests, grew crops, hunted and bred the animals. However, the biggest change came with idustrialization. Manafactures and other idustries dramatically affected our planet.

  3. One of the most common problem is the industrial waste, produced in massive amounts by idustries in general. And it is not only a problem, it is also an origin of many other problems

  4. Whether these are the air polluting gases, trash or just chemicals thrown into the river, they are serious threat to environment.

  5. Each year, tons of chemicals are pumped to the rivers, changing the water into thing-that-you-would-not-call-water-anymore and wrecking the lifes of any living beings in said rivers.

  6. Communal waste inchosencountriesinyears 1980-2000 (kilogrammes/person) The more advanced country, the bigger amount of garbage is produced in it. However, it should be noted that, because of the better storage methods, it is not as big danger for the environment as it is in poorer countries.

  7. Great amount of waste is delivered right into the atmosphere, causing air pollution, which is the origin to many other, serious problems. Emission of carbondioxideinchosencountriesin 1990-2000(tons/squarekilometer)

  8. Among these problems are the acid rains, basically the rains of acid, being as devastative as it can sound. In Poland they’reoftenseeninthe Sudety region, turningsome of the most beautifullandscapesintosomethingmiserable.

  9. In big cities, air pollution can be so big, that it becomes smog, almost permanent fog of fuels, chemicals and CO2, that, apart from looking awfully, can cause serious health problems. The Great Smog of London, for example, killed as many as four thousand people in five days. Who wouldn’t call it a disaster?

  10. In Poland, thereisalso an example of smog. City of Cracowisactually one of the most pollutedonesin Europe. And howeveritisalso one of the most beautifulones, itiscertainly not thehealthiestthing to live init. Seriously, as some of theresearchsays, livingthereis as ifyoujustsmokeninecigarettes a day.

  11. In recent years the topic of global warming became loud. The warming is caused by greenhouse gases, most notably carbon dioxyde. It is all about the energy of the sun being trapped by them in our atmosphere, leading to an overheat.

  12. With overheat, it is predictable that incredible amount of ice will start to melt. And if there is incredible amount of melting ice, there will be incredible amount of melted water. Believe me, by the time it happens, you would rather live on highlands.

  13. Deforestation, which was already mentioned, can be caused by many things, most notably people that cut trees for wood, places to grow their crops or build their cities, acid rains and much more. Although sometimes it is necessary, it destroys our source of oxygen

  14. Another form of waste is the nuclear waste, pretty much the most dangerous of all. While nuclear power points provide nearly unlimited power, they do produce the nuclear waste. Any accident with these would have serious consequences. Luckily, in Poland there is no risk of that happening, as there is no nuclear energy atall.

  15. However, not only human can harm the environment. Sometimes, nature acts self-destructive. An erupting volcano, for example, emits so much air pollution that even hundreds of factories would not be ashamed of.

  16. So if environment does not care for itself, we have to do this. The nature is one of the most precious gifts that were given to us. So, should not we try to preserve it?

  17. ”Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift’’ - Albert Einstein
