  15. Business Practice: Curtailments (cont.)

  16. Curtailments: Blanket Examples • Blanket Example 1 • Energy schedule being invalidated in a blanket-relationship when one of the associated NE transmission reservation is being curtailed • Network Economy reservation being curtailed 30 MW • Network Economy reservation NOT being curtailed 50 MW • Network Economy reservation NOT being curtailed 10 MW • Energy Requested 75 MW Schedule is denied • As a result of the NE transmission reservation with 30 MW capacity being curtailed, there is insufficient AEC from the other associated NE reservations, and the energy schedule is denied.

  17. Curtailments: Blanket Examples • Blanket Example 2 • Energy schedule being validated and approved in a blanket relationship even when one of the associated NE transmission reservations is being curtailed: • Network Economy reservation being curtailed 30 MW • Network Economy reservation NOT being curtailed 50 MW • Network Economy reservation NOT being curtailed 25 MW • Energy Requested 75 MW Schedule is approved • Since there is still sufficient AEC for the energy schedule from the NE transmission reservations that are not being curtailed, the energy schedule is approved.

  18. Curtailments: Super-Blanket Examples • Super-Blanket Example 1 • Energy schedule being invalidated in a super-blanket relationship when the associated NE transmission reservation is being curtailed: • Network Economy reservation being curtailed 50 MW • Firm 50 MW • Non-Firm 10 MW • Energy Requested 75 MW Schedule is denied • Since the NE reservation is being curtailed, the energy schedule will not be allocated to the NE reservation, and as a result, there is insufficient AEC for the energy schedule, and the schedule is denied.

  19. Curtailments: Super-Blanket Examples • Super-Blanket Example 2 • Energy schedule being validated and approved in a super-blanket relationship even when the associated NE transmission reservation is being curtailed: • Network Economy reservation being curtailed 50 MW • Firm 50 MW • Non-Firm 25 MW • Energy Requested 75 MW Schedule is approved • Since the NE reservation is being curtailed, the energy schedule will not be allocated to the NE reservation. However, there is still sufficient AEC for the energy schedule from the non-NE transmission reservations, and as a result, the schedule is approved.
