  • Out of total 25,951 colleges in India ( 2010) only 7632 means 28% colleges are possessing UGC Approval under 2F .
  • Ground Reality is that 72% means 18,319 colleges in India are not eligible for UGC Grants.
  • 2565 colleges are women colleges.
  • 130 state universities/ state private universities are not having UGC`s 2f/12B status, not entitled for UGC grants.

  • Out of them only 12.24% students are university students [ 16.69 lakh]
  • 87.76% are college students, 41.40% are female students

  • USA : 83% , SWEDEN : 82% , NORWAY : 80% , UK : 60% , FRANCE: 56%
  • WORLD AVERAGE : 23% , DEVELOPED COUNTRIES : 55%
  • MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES : 32%
  • We are far behind of the developed world.
  • How can we become a knowledge society ?
  • Out of 12 cr. 40 lakh youth only 1cr. 36 lakh students can get higher
  • education in INDIA
  • Meaning that more than 11 cr. And 4 lakh students are OUT OF
