  2. What is stress? • Stress is the emotional response to everything urgent, frightening, or irritating that sets your body and mind off balance. • Stress can happen to anybody at anytime. • stress can cause emotional behavioral and physical responses

  3. Is stress a bad thing or a good thing? • Good • If it pushes you to persevere. • Bad • If it keeps you from doing your every day activities.

  4. My research question was how does stress effect the health and everyday life of people of all ages?

  5. reactions to stress:emotional physical • Depresion • Anxiety • Anger • Confusion • Worrying • Irritability • sadness • Guilt • Headachs • Aching muscles • Rapid heart beat • Heartburn • Dry mouth and throte • Poor sleep

  6. Reactions to stress continued: behavioral behavioral • Over eating • Under eating • Angry out bursts • Substance abuse • Crying • Sleeping too much or too little • Conflicts with others • Decreased ability to get work done • Difficulty concentrating • Nervousness • Day dreaming • Nightmares
