They were never allowed to speak to the babies or to cuddle or touch them in a caring manner, solely enough to sustain their lives, as in changing their diapers and giving them their bottles of milk. They'd try this daily and then they would track how long it took for each baby to die. This can be such a horrid atrocity that was disbursed on these precious, innocent babies, nevertheless it's amazing that while they got the vital requirements of life, it had been the shortage of touch, loving voices in communication, and lightweight that brought them eventual death.
