Germinal centers of secondary follicles capsule • At low magnification, the lymph node is surrounded by a thin capsule of pink • connective tissue and fibroblasts. • Outside of the node are adipose tissue and blood vessels. • Beneath the capsule are several target-like secondary follicles (secondary • because germinal centers are present). • Overall, we say this lymph node has “preserved architecture,” • a feature favoring a benign process.
