  1. Russia

  2. Food in Russia • Russia is mainly a northern country with long-lasting cold winter. The food should give us much energy and warmth to survive during the winter time. So, the essential components of Russian cuisine are the ones, which provide more carbohydrates and fat rather than proteins. Fresh fruits and vegetables are rarely used in food. So, the top five components of a Russian meal are potatoes, bread, eggs, meat (especially beef) and butter. Other popular foods include cabbage, milk, sour cream, curds, mushrooms, lard, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, berries, honey, sugar, salt, garlic, and onions.

  3. Russian Games • The best known Russian game is without doubt Tetris, though, ironically, all the commercial Tetris versions were produced outside the country. Russian designers had an unpararalleled preference for hi-res EGA mode, nearly all the games of the late 80s/early 90s used these graphics. • In 1993, Interplay published a Russian 6-pack; six games, obviously custom-made for this collection, for they all used for Russia uncommon VGA graphics. It was about the last the West saw of Russian game development. An erotic-ironic adventure game, GAG, was published in an English version in the Netherlands, and one of its mini-games, distributed separately for publicity, became a celebrity as XTET. There are a few shareware developers catering to the online community, but otherwise the language barrier prevents knowledge of what is going on in this huge country.

  4. Environment in Russia • The best time to visit Russia is May through September. Temperatures range from the 70's-90's in the day to the 50's-70's at night. Be aware that the spring and fall are unpredictable with flurries showing up in May and September, and mud ensuing. Take along waterproof shoes and a jacket.

  5. History on Russia • The largest country in the world, Russia constitutes one-seventh of the world’s landmass and spans eight time zones. This expansive area allows it to neighbor more countries than anywhere else on earth, as well as touch twenty-two bodies of water and hold twelve seas within its borders. Its vast and complicated array of landscapes has created a diverse blend of forty national parks alongside its forty UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. Here you can find the oldest mountains in the world, the Urals, and the deepest lake in the world, Lake Baikal. Travel from the tundra to the steppes, the desert to the glaciers, the valleys to the volcanoes without ever needing a new visa.

  6. Why Russia is a good place to pick! • You should pick Russia because is a great place to visit. As well as if you pick this place for the Olympics a lot of people will go and you would make lots of money. It is a perfect place to go and pick!
