  1. Internship with the Austin Aztex FC JANUARY THROUGH APRIL 2010

  2. Contact Information Mrs. Kay Rawlins 13359 US Hwy 183 N Suite 401 Austin, Texas 78750 512-335-8881

  3. Site Ranking I chose to rank my site with 4 stars because it was a great site with genuine and helpful staff. But sometimes it felt a little disorganized. But I was taught valuable lessons and I was able to take on major projects myself. I was able to improve at this site with the help of the staff.

  4. Words of Wisdom Good things come to those who work hard Do not expect to always get recognition for doing something right, but still do it anyway Introduce yourself to anyone and everyone Don’t forget to have fun at the office!

  5. Internship Objectives Recruit and retain volunteers for all regular home season games Maintain and develop Aztex Alliance services Act as Volunteer Coordinator and run Information Tent on Game Day Assist Operations during work week with errands and general tasks

  6. Daily Activities Recruit volunteers for each home game Go to training to set up and take down Do game day laundry Pre-season: Pick up and drop of trialists, maintain apartment complex Season: Maintain contracts, go to player appearances, prepare for game day Coordinate Aztex Alliance services Make phone calls to gain sponsorships

  7. Summary of Project My project was a manual for the next Volunteer Coordinator. I saw that it was very disorganized coming from last season, and there was a need for clarification. I created guidelines to be able to train someone on how to be an effective Volunteer Coordinator without having to personally explain the job.
