  1. The Ten Commandments

  2. The Ten Commandment Commissions Purpose The Ten Commandments Commission was founded to counter the secular agenda and help restore the Ten Commandments and Judeo-Christian values to their rightful place in our society.

  3. Ten Commandment Commission Issue Recent court rulings against the Ten Commandments, along with a host of disturbing trends we witness daily throughout our culture, clearly demonstrates that our nation is moving away from that tradition. These actions have threatened the very fabric and foundation of our culture and faith. The Ten Commandments and all other references to God, which have served as the moral foundation and anchor of our great country, are systematically being removed from public places. Public displays of the Ten Commandments and other symbols of our faith have been a powerful visual testimony to the fact that the United States of America is "one nation under God." Their removal from public places shows that those with a secular humanist agenda are intent on destroying the moral heritage of our nation.

  4. Ten Commandment Commission Issue Those who care about traditional values cannot passively sit by and watch the removal of the very principles that made this country great. The Ten Commandments and what they represent are the heart of all moral code and must be restored to the heart of our society

  5. Ten Commandments Day The focal point of this movement is the first annual Ten Commandments Day that will be held on Sunday May 7, 2006. On this date we are calling on all religious leaders who are concerned about traditional Judeo-Christian values to host special celebrations and/or deliver stirring sermons centering on the unifying and reconciling messages rooted in Ten Commandments.

  6. Why May 7? The leadership of the Ten Commandments Commission felt strongly that it was important to establish a date for Ten Commandments Day that coincided with the historical time period when Moses met with God on Mount Sinai and received the Ten Commandments for all mankind. The first Sunday in May is an ideal date, occurring between the Jewish observances of Passover and Pentecost.

  7. Political Action Join with us in supporting  two new bills that that have been introduced to Congress to protect your religious freedom to acknowledging God in America. S520 in the Senate and HR1070 in the House of Representives. The Constitution Restoration Act of 2005 (H.R. 1070, S. 520) has been introduced to use the constitutional power of Congress to limit the jurisdiction of federal courts to protect the right of government agencies and officials to acknowledge God.

  9. Main Advert on Web Site Finally, a day in which we can come together and celebrate God's eternal moral law.

  10. Christian Views on Law • In these times when so many are concerned about the moral deterioration of our nation, this recommendation is occasionally made: “We need to get back to the ten commandments as our code of conduct.” Although the motive for such an admonition is doubtless honorable, it suggests a common, though erroneous, concept about the nature of the ten commandments. • In the first place, most of us (all who are non-Jews) have never been under the decalogue. The ten commandments were a part of the Mosaic law, and that system was given to the Hebrews alone (Dt. 5:1-5). That does not suggest that the ancient Gentiles were exempt from religious and moral responsibility; it does mean that non-Israelites were never amenable to the Mosaic code per se. • That aside, it is a logical fact that if one argues for the re-institution of the ten commandments, he must, if consistent, contend that the sabbath requirements are binding as well. This view, of course, is promoted by the Seventh-day Adventists and other sabbatarians, http://www.christiancourier.com/archives/sabbath.htm

  11. Christiananswers.net • Although the moral principles expressed in the commandments are reaffirmed in the New Testament, the command to set Saturday apart as a day of rest and worship is the only commandment not repeated. There are very good reasons for this. • New Testament believers are not under the Old Testament Law (Romans 6:14; Galatians 3:24-25; 2 Corinthians 3:7, 11, 13; Hebrews 7:12). • By Christ's resurrection on the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1), His continued appearances on succeeding Sundays (John 20:26), and the descent of the Holy Spirit on Sunday (Acts 2:1), the early church was given the pattern of Sunday worship. • The early church met on Sunday regularly (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2). • Sunday worship was further hallowed by our Lord who appeared to John in that last great vision on "the Lord's day" (Revelation 1:10). • It is for these reasons that most Christians worship on Sunday, rather than on the Jewish Sabbath.

  12. Catholics Understand the Issue “Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the church ever did happened in the first century. The holy day Sabbath was changed to Sunday…not from any directions noted in the scriptures, but from the churches sense of its own power…People who think that the scripture should be the sole authority should logically become 7th Day Adventists and keep Saturday holy.” Saint Catherines Catholic Church Sentinel, May 21 1995

  21. The Time will come… The dignitaries of church and state will unite to bribe, persuade, or compel all classes to honor the Sunday. The lack of divine authority will be supplied by oppressive enactments. Political corruption is destroying love of justice and regard for truth; and even in free America, rulers and legislators, in order to secure public favor, will yield to the popular demand for a law enforcing Sunday observance.
