The Objective Tekelec wanted to move toward open, standard platforms, leveraging industry volume shipments (of ATCA) to drive down product lifecycle costs while supporting multiple applications on a single platform to simplify and accelerate development efforts and reduce R&D expenditures. The Approach HP proposed the Advanced Open Telecom Platform (AOTP) program components based on the HP ATCA blade server platform, including HP integration services for the project.
