  4. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

  5. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Galatians 4:6

  6. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 14:18

  7. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!... Beloved, now we are children of God… 1 John 3:1-2

  8. Privileges of Adoption: -new relationship -confident praying -good gifts -an inheritance -fatherly guidance -loving discipline -members of a larger family!

  9. Responsibilities of the Adopted: -sharing in His sufferings -relating to other members in love -working together -obeying our Father -walking in holiness -honoring our Father
