  2. My Real World Problem • John and five of his friends would like to go to six flags. If the tickets cost $34.99 per person, how much would it cost for john and all of his friends to go?

  4. Independent and Dependent • The Independent variable is x which is the number of Six Flags tickets. • The Dependent variable is y which is the total cost. • The total cost depends on the number of Six Flags tickets.

  7. Is it Continuous or Discrete? • My graph is Discrete because my data contains only points and not a line.

  8. Is it a Function? • Yes, it is a Function because the x values don’t repeat.

  10. Conclusion • For John to go to Six Flags by himself it would cost $34.99. But if he went with five of his friends it could cost up to $209.94.
