Database Harmonization • Hanoi Plan of Action objective: harmonization of environmental databases of ASEAN member countries • Both at national and regional level to support environmental analysis, monitoring and forecasting of issues for use in the state of the environment reporting and assessment

Database Harmonization – Immediate Objectives • strengthen national capacity to effectively compile with the regional standards for environmental database harmonization • develop and operate the ASEAN Meta-database system for data management and dissemination • utilize the harmonized quantitative data for periodic assessment and publication of the state of the environment in ASEAN • Utilize the harmonized database for decision making at national and regional level
