  1. The Media Center is open 10 minutes before school and 15 minutes after school. You may check out books, return books, use the computers or do homework.

  2. This is the circulation desk.

  3. Remember to sign in with your first and last name, grade, your teacher’s name, and the period. Show your pass to Media Center staff.

  4. The circulation desk is where you check out books. Be prepared to say the first three letters of your last name.

  5. When you check out a magazine it will be put in a plastic bag like this. The bag is to protect the magazine from wear and tear. Please return the magazine in its bag.

  6. This is where you return books and other items you have borrowed from the Media Center. It is located next to the circulation desk. Be sure to return items on time so that others may enjoy them.

  7. This is the fiction section. Books are arranged alphabetically by the authors’ last name.

  8. You might see these stickers on the spine of Some of the fiction books. By looking at these Stickers you can tell the genre of the book.

  9. This is the Series notebook. If you want to know the order of the books in a series, just check this notebook.

  10. There are always books on display in the Media Center. Feel free to just look or check out any of these books.

  11. This is the nonfiction section.

  14. This is the biography section.

  15. The encyclopedias are located at the beginning of the reference section, across from the circulation desk. Encyclopedias are a good place to start your research.
