Us • QFES Grants provide on-going governance and support to disaster management stakeholders in the development and submission of grants and grant programs. • Internal Grants • External Grants • Gambling Community Benefit Fund, Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal etc. • Grant Support • Proof reading • Guidance/advice • Support letters • Stakeholder workshops

You • Established under the Disaster Management Act 2003. • Eligible in own right to apply to some grant programs (e.g. Gambling Community Benefit Fund). • Risk mitigation projects and planning for the entire community. • Unique opportunity to apply for projects as a collective group. • joint responsibility + big community reach = higher priority/score • Previous successful risk mitigation projects: • Community engagement materials (& trailer) • Loading areas (e.g. Cape York annual flooding) • Solar energy containers/pods • Workshops/events

  4. Help • There are grants for risk mitigation projects run by Government and Non-government Organisations. • QFES Grants provides resources to assist planning, including: • Grant timeline with hyperlinks • Emails (with checklist) • Calendar • Time lines • Templates • Examples • Proof-reading
