Web Accessibility Community of Practice • What is the WACoP? • Group, a community, of people with a goal of helping each other achieve accessibility in their agencies or departments. • We meet in person, phone, or online via MS Teams; community to discuss accessibility issues and resolutions. • What we share: Policies, tips and tricks, discussions, questions and answers, suggestions, helpful sites/vendors.

Web Accessibility Community of Practice • What is Microsoft Teams WACoP site– • Business collaboration tool including Skype, Outlook, OneNote (wiki), and SharePoint (files) functionality. • Key features: Ability to share links, files, and persistent chat for knowledge base between departments. • We have 6 channels, each with chat, file share, and wiki: • General • Addressing Policy and Business Need • Development and Testing Tips • Document and Content Training • Remediation • Assistive Technology (New)

State Web Template Release v5.0.6 accessibility updates and improvements: • Fixed color schemes contrast issues • Modified utility header with flex layout and made it more accessible • Made Skip to the Content link visible on focus for accessibility • Removed invisible links from navigation • Made custom search box accessible • Improved keyboard navigation • Fixed sliders and carousel module accessibility • Added globals.scss styles to core css • Addressed multiple accessibility issues on multiple sample pages
