  2. Why Do We Survey Employees? • A.R.S. 49-588 requires all large employers in Maricopa County to survey employees at sites (a building or group of buildings) with 50 or more employees. • Nearly 1,200 employers and 550,000 employees in Maricopa County participate. • The survey: • Determines employee commute modes. • Measures whether or not we are meeting our statutory goals. • Goal – 60% drive-alone trips (SOV) or miles (SOVMT) • Countywide Average – 72.5% SOV and 73.3% SOVMT

  3. How Did We Do Last Year? Successfully completed our first all electronic survey! Achieved our Best Survey Results Ever - • Overall, reduced SOV and SOVMT by 2% • SOV was 67.0% and SOVMT was 65.1% (5.5 and 8.1 percentage points below County average) • Capitol Complex – WE MET GOAL! • SOV was 60.6% and SOVMT was 59.9% • 41 State agencies, boards or commissions met goal at one or more of their sites. CONGRATULATIONS!!! • AHCCCS achieved lowest drive alone rate of 33.9%!

  4. What About This Year? As a result of Your input and that from other employees: • Employees will enter their EIN. • EINs will be used for tracking purposes only. • Coordinators can request list of EINs who submitted surveys, along with their Process Level and work address/site. • Contract employees or those from outside temporary agencies will NOT be surveyed. • Time-out messages were improved. • Clarifications were added for Virtual Office workers and those using more than one alternate mode per day. • Motorcycle was added as a mode to Question 3.
