  1. The Area of a Plot of land! Mr. Magnuson

  2. Find the Area of the Lot 140m 150m 120m 80m

  3. Cut the Lot in half so that you have two triangles. Find the Area of the Lot 140m 150m 120m 80m

  4. Using Pythagorean Theorem A^2+B^2=C^2 you can find the missing side. 80^2+150^2= 28900 square rooted equals 170 Cut the shape into two triangles 140m 150m 120m 170m 80m

  5. To find the area of triangle 1 you can use the equation 1/2b X H. 40m X 150m= 6000sq/m so that area of triangle 1 is 6000. Area of triangle 1 140m 2 150m 120m 170m 1 80m

  6. K= sqrt of s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) S=140+120+170 /2= 430 430(430-140)(430-120)(430-170) K2= 8302.7m Area of triangle 2 140m 2 150m 120m 170m 1 80m

  7. Now we add the two angles we got together and we will get the total area of the plot K1=6000m K2=8302.7m Total Area =14302.7m Add the areas together 140m 2 150m 120m 170m 1 80m
