  2. DEFINICIONES • CONVERGENCIA: (Del latín convergere) intr. Dicho de dos o más líneas: Dirigirse a unirse en un punto. • DIVERGENCIA: (Del lat. divergens, -entis, divergente). • 1. f. Acción y efecto de divergir. • 2. f. Diversidad de opiniones o pareceres.

  3. ¿A qué se llama convergencia y divergencia interpretativas? • Convergencia interpretativa: ocurre cuando dos textos se refieren a un mismo tema o hecho, es decir, existe acuerdo entre ambos. • Divergencia interpretativa: Sucede cuando dos textos presentan ideas diferentes u opuestas respecto de un mismo tema o hecho.

  4. Ejemplo. • El conflicto ocurrido en Aysén. Para los habitantes de Aysén el bloqueo de carreteras en necesario como medida de presión para negociar con el gobierno, en cambio, para el Gobierno, la negociación solo es posible si los habitantes de Aysén deponen la toma de carreteras. En este caso las visiones son divergentes.

  5. Convergencia y divergencia en los MMC • En los medios masivos de comunicación los hechos van a ser interpretados dependiendo de quien medie el acto comunicativo, es decir, de quien comunique, masivamente, la noticia. Es así como durante el análisis que los diferentes matinales efectuaron tras el Festival de la Canción de Viña del Mar, los programas hicieron un balance negativo del evento, salvo SQP, ya que pertenecía al canal que organizó el certamen.
