Anti-Semitism lead to the Holocaust because people thought it was all Jews fault for the lose of WW1

Cold War- beginning in the late 1940s and the ending in the late 1980s between the U.S,A, and the Soviet Union. They competed world influence without actually fighting

Communism- A system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all who need them. In the Soviet Union , a small political party controlled all the factors of production and made decisions about what was going to be produced , how it was produced, and who would receive them.

Communism was unfair for many people cause they were being controlled

Superpowers- the United States and Soviet Union were the most powerful nations after WW2

So many people were very scared of the superpower because they had more of everything

NATO – North Atlantic Treaty Organization; The U.S and other western European countries formed NATO to respond to possible attacks by Soviet Union.

NATO was a great thing for so many people than were being attacked

Warsaw Pact –an alliance of the Soviet Union and it’s communist satellite nations which was formed to counter NATO . It was an anti-western military alliance.

Iron Curtain - the imaginary line that separated communist eastern Europe from democratic western Europe

The Iron Curtain was called that cause iron is really hard to get though

The Berlin Wall made it rally hard for east people go to the west and the other way so it was a hard time

Reunification- making something whole that has been split into pieces. after the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Germans voted to make the countries of East and West Germany one country

Reunification was very good for Germany because it got to be one again
