  2. The Goal The main objective of the program is to promote the economic activity of poor microentrepreneurs through the provision of credit, focusing particularly on individuals who have no access to traditional credit resources. The Beneficiaries - Independent entrepreneurs with subsistence level enterprises or growing businesses in a variety of work areas such as: gardening, carpentry, shoe repair, homemade cooking, clothing production. - Low income employees with the need to work on the repair their family houses. How we work • The financial assistance of the program is based on a group lending model. • As time goes by, participants create a credit history which allows them to secure larger loans . • Borrowers make small repayments on a weekly basis. • Credits are generally granted for a period of 12 to 20 weeks, although it varies on whether it is a group or an individual loan. • - In addition to credit provision, we advise and train our micro entrepreneurs about business registration, budget proposals, business evaluation, savings and investment.

  3. The Goal The program's main objective is to provide tools that will help underprivileged children do better at school, wish to improve themselves, and trust their own abilities so that in the future they may advance socially and professionally. The beneficiaries The program is aimed at school and preschool age children (4 to 18), with or without learning disabilities, who come from underprivileged sectors but attend school. How we work • - We welcome the children on Saturday mornings in the Centres of Derqui and Villa Zaboya and on Wednesday afternoons in Villa Itati, Matheu. • We use GAMES as our main educational strategy. • - We aim to strengthen the linguistic, reading comprehension and critical thinking skills rather than specific contents. We consider that these basic skills help students better assimilate different school subjects and are helpful for them all through their school, professional and family life.

  4. The Goal The program’s goal is to give lower-income people the opportunity to obtain a professional degree through honour loans. EsPC gives young potential students the possibility to fulfil their vocational dreams which will connect them to the professional world, thus improving their socioeconomic reality. The beneficiaries Low-income young people that have completed high school education and show potential to take up college or university studies. How we work • Each student is given economic support, training and specific tools to help them develop their potential according to their professional search, promoting the integral development of each student. • Each student is assigned with a monthly sum of money, A tutor, that helps the student throughout his career, giving him support, guidance and contention and training promgrams. • Given the program is based on honour loans, the beneficiaries commit themselves to return the Money they receive once they graduated and have started working.

  5. The goal Support children and youths from disadvantaged sectors of society so they can continue their primary and secondary education and guide these student’s families, fostering the value of responsibility, not only in the student but also in his family to contribute to their personal growth and community development. The Beneficiaries School age children and their families, from underprivileged sector of society. It is important that the children are already within the formal school system. Their parents have to be interested in their kid’s education and actively participate in the program. How we work • CEF is developed is being developed in Derqui and more recently Matheu with the aid of a team of 7 volunteers. Our work is developed basically through three main activities: • 1. Monthly payment of the scholarship: a monthly amount of money is given to the student in order to cover his school materials or the school fee. 2. Counterpart: as part of the commitment of the family with the child’s education, and with the idea that the scholarship has to contribute to both the student’s and family’s development, we designed a system of counterparts consisting in: the students must go every Saturday to the EPC centre of Progresar and the parentshave to participate in monthly meetings coordinated by the program’s tutors and in a monthly workshop where we discuss different issues which are of importance to them and have a direct impact on their daily realities. 3. Follow up: in order for the program to be successful and to be able to measure the results,we relieve a close follow up of students and their families is fundamental.
