  2. Summer Prep Work • Identification: At Risk incoming 9th graders: 70 students • Summer Bridge Program • Cumulative Folder Review • Hand Scheduling • Matching Student needs to teacher expertise (Guided Study class)

  3. Guided Study Class • Senior Academic Mentors 1:3 Ratio • Weekly grade checks • Weekly planner check • Bi-weekly notebook check • Bi-weekly backpack clean out • Re-teach/ Re-learn Core Subject Warm-ups • Weekly Communication with Core Teachers • Saturday: The 6th Day of School

  4. Outreach Support • Counselor: Small groups working on issues: Anger Management, loss, conflict resolution • SART participation • Parent Meetings Conferences • Fieldtrips/ speakers (driven by COPS career inventory) • Incentives

  8. Next Year • Guided Study Program • Expansion: • Three 9th grade classes • One 10th grade class (new) • Servicing 103 at-risk students • Senior Mentor Program Expansion: • Servicing all Guided Study, Introduction to Algebra & Bi-lingual Algebra classes • Servicing 60 senior students
