Marketing Mix Project

In this group project, students will collaborate in pairs or small teams to design a new item for the BWHS School Store. Leveraging resources like www.customink.com, they will apply the Marketing Mix strategy to effectively launch their innovative product. The presentation will consist of at least seven PowerPoint slides covering key aspects: the product design, pricing strategy, selling location, and promotional tactics. This engaging project will enhance students' understanding of marketing fundamentals while promoting school spirit and creativity.

  2. Project Overview • Students divide into groups of 2-3 people • Design a new item for the BWHS School Store (may use www.customink.com to complete design) • Apply the Marketing Mix to this new product • Create a PPT presentation to present to class

  3. PowerPoint Guidelines • 7 slides minimum: • Cover slide (product name & student names) • Agenda/overview slide • Product slide • Price slide • Place slide • Promotion slide • Conclusion/wrap-up slide

Price Slide – example(explain the pricing in detail) • Shirt cost (what we really paid for the shirt) $6.50 • Retail price (what we will charge for the shirt) $10.00 • Profit (the difference of retail & cost) $3.50 Explain if customers would pay the retail price or not? (remember you want to get a 40% mark-up on retail items)
