  4. What’s your function? • A comparative form of an adjective compares two things. • Add –er to most adjectives to compare two things • nicer, cooler, meaner • Use more with long adjectives - complicated, sophisticated

  5. What’s your function? • Use the superlative form to compare three or more things. • Add –est to most adjectives to compare three or more things • nicest, coolest, meanest • Use most with long adjectives skillful, colorful, playful
