I Called - Chosen 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (KJV) • 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: • 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

  3. Continued • 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: • 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

  4. Continued • 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: • 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

  5. 5-fold (Dama Gift)Jesus doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called! Ephesians 4:11-14 (KVJ) • 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; • 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Continued • 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: • 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

  7. II How to be Chosen! Luke 9:57-62 (KJV) – Got to put JESUS first! • 57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. • 58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

  8. Continued • 59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. • 60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

  9. Continued • 61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. • 62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

  10. Matthew 6:33 (KJV) • 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

  11. 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) • 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth!!!

  12. James 1:21-22 (KJV) • 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. • 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. So you can be a doer of the WORD!

  13. III How do you lay Down Your Life? Serve HIM! John 15:12-14 (KJV) • 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. • 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. • 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

  14. 1 John 3:16 (KJV) • 16 By this we know the LOVEof God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
