Main function • Performing government related functions such as application for block visas required for recruitment of faculty members and administrative personnel; processing of residence permit (Iqamas), different types of visas, and other related issues. • Salary administration and all financial tasks including banking facilities required for its faculty and staff. • Travel requirements of all University personnel.

  3. To allocate PSU housing or issuing housing allowance to personnel according to their contract. • Medical Insurance coverage of all its personnel (faculty and staff) including their dependents, based on PSU policies. • Receiving and giving general orientation for new faculty and staff • Implementation of E-Register system for human resources.

  4. Administrative & Personnel Affairs is carrying out the following major functions: a) Recruitment • Employment contracts • Block visa • Authorization letter to the concerned embassies • Issuing PTA b) Administrative Services • Allocating PSU housing according to his/her contract. • Issuing Health Insurance Cards for employee and his/her authorized dependents • Issuing Tickets • Issuing all kind of referral letters

  5. c) Documentation • Opening personal files for faculty and staff • Completion of documents • Maintaining his/her personal record • Data entry for E-register program for all faculty and staff • Performance follow-up for renewal of contract or otherwise d) Emigration • Issuing Iqama • Exit Re-entry visas • Multiple visas • Final exit

  10. ERP system has already been introduced and started to deal partially with administrative and financial affairs. • We have already started consolidating data to establish a useful data base about the different facilities that are available to the employees. • All these programs are being done on an urgent basis and expected to be completed soon.
