College Need • Every student at MJC must pass through the English sequence to earn a certificate or an AA/AA-T degree. • The English Department has the highest enrollment in any program at MJC with 9120 students enrolled in 2014-2015. • Thus, adding human resources to English is essential to growth at the college.

  6. Part-time / Full-time Ratio • We rely heavily on part-timers in English, and they are at their limit of availability and load. • Fall 2015: 42% (134 sections) Adjunct • Fall 2015: 59% (189 sections) Full-time • The State wants a 75:25Ratio
