New Haven REACH: Elections for 2014 Executive Board
Procedure • Most contested positions: 2 minute statements each, followed by questions to the candidates. Less contested positions: 1 minute 30 seconds for speech. This rule will be flexibly enforced. After this, each candidate will step out. Additional debate and commentary will be permitted, and then a vote will be taken. • 50% majority required to win. If no candidate receives 50% of votes, a run-off vote between those two candidates will be permitted. The candidates will not re-enter the room but additional debate will be permitted.
