  3. To Reach Entire Cities for Christ - Two Questions 1. Is it biblical? 2. How did the early church do it?

  4. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in My name, I will do it.” JOHN 14:12 - 14

  5. “And He was saying to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’” LUKE 10:2 • Nothing wrong with harvest - It is plentiful • Problem with workers -Location and attitude

  6. Four Step Strategy 1. Bless Them.Lk 10:5 2. Fellowship with them. Lk 10:7 3. Meet felt needs. Lk10:9a 4. Preach. Lk 10:9b

  7. Where else in the N.T. is prayer evangelism taught? • 1Tim 2:1-8 • Why have we missed it? - Chapter divisions - Defective reading habits

  8. 1Tim 1:15-2:8 • “It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance that Christ came into the world to save sinners”.(1:15) • “First of all, then I urge…(2:1) • “…men to pray everywhere

  9. 4 MAJOR HURDLES • Acceptance vs. approval • Felt needs vs. most important need • Western world view vs. biblical worldview • Indwelling Jesus vs. Presiding Jesus

  10. MATTHEW 28:19 “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit ...”

  11. MATTHEW28:18 - 20 “And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘ALL AUTHORITYHASBEEN GIVEN TO ME in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, even to the end of the age.’”

  12. HOW TO CHANGE AND SUSTAIN THE CLIMATE OVER A CITY

  13. HOSTILE SPIRITUAL CLIMATE Chapters 4-9 • 4:1-12 “ for forty days, being tempted by the devil…” • 4:13 “and when the devil had finished every temptation he departed until an opportune time”
