  1. Mechanism Simulation Solid Edge motion is used to simulate the movement of a mechanism. Mechanism Simulation is a usefull tool to detection collision between moving components. More advanced mechanism simulators can also determine dynamic forces on components.

  2. Solid Edge Motion • When creating a mechanism components can be defined as either moving or grounded. This can be determined either automatically based on assembly relationships or manually by the user.
