The motion is the x-direction will stay constant (Newton’s 1st Law) The position in the x-direction is defined by: Initial Velocity Initial X-position time

(Except air resistance) The motion in the y-direction is a constant acceleration straight towards the center of the Earth. The position in the y-direction is defined by Newton’s Kinematic Equation: Initial velocity And y-position Acceleration of gravity
