  1. Migrations are back! Details on phase 1 “MVP” 1 workspace mailbox, internal DNS

  2. Migrating from WS to O365 – phase 1 Starting 9/29we’ll be migrating a few eligible customers’ email from an existing workspace account into a new O365 account. The list of criteria is long and complicated and will change over time as we progress from one phase to another. A subset of the criteria are: • Have an existing workspace account • Have only 1 mailbox and one domain • Have internally managed DNS • Use less than 3.65GB mailbox space ALL criteria must be met for the customer to be eligible for the migration.

  3. The process looks the same to start; same confirmation email, same call to action And clicking the button to proceed with setting up the product takes them to the same O365 setup page.

  4. Creating the O365 mailbox is exactly the same Clicking “create” is when the fun begins!

  5. Once the customer clicks “Create” they’ll see the following message: Links to support.godaddy.com Migration FAQ doc Links to Migration Wiz T&Cs, not GoDaddy Takes the customer to the previous step in the process. Once they check the box to accept the Terms and Conditions (these are the migration terms, separate from the standard purchase terms), the “Move My Email” button will be available to click. Note: If the WS and O365 accounts are the same (ie, both are alex@coolexample.com), the password on their old workspace account will be updated to match the password they choose in the O365 setup process.

  6. Clicking “Move My Email” displays this info so the customer knows what to expect: • Behind the scenes we’ll: • Provision the O365 mailbox • Run a test migration • Run the final migration (@400Mb/hr) • Switch the MX records • Email the customer when they’re all set to use the new account

  7. Clicking “View Progress” displays the standard O365 dashboard with a message regarding the status of their mailbox creation. Note: This process will only migrate emails from workspace. It will not migrate contacts, calendars or lists.
