  3. Funding History • SB 1322 • Public Resources Code section 42023.1 (c) and (h) • How are funds used? • Current funding level and % of discretionary allocation for 05/06

RMDZ Program Services • Services & incentives offered by State • Business outreach • Finding buyers for products • Loans with attractive rates/terms • Services & incentives offered by Local Government • Local funding sources (bonds, grants, redevelopment funding) • Permitting and siting assistance • Reduced utility rates

  5. (1) RecycleStore – Expanded Marketing Services (2005-DI-3) • Complete pilot marketing effort • Implement new SBDC project • Webinar training • Links to all SBDC sites • $75,000 per FY (for 3 FY)

  6. (2) Zone Administrator Training Workshops (2005-DI-5) • Purpose: Continuing Education • 3 workshops each year • Examples: Environmental Justice, C & D, Enhancing the RMDZ Loan Program • $100,000 per FY (for 3 FY)

(3) RMDZ Business Intervention Services (2005-DI-8) • Similar to Tire Business Assistance Program • Targets: “at risk” RMDZ loan recipients • Some services provided via this contract: • Research & development • Economic gardening research for new markets • Product commercialization efforts • $100,000 per FY (for 3 FY)
