Convergence of the national rate • By 2014/15 sixth forms and FE colleges will be funded at the same rate • The current transitional protection (3% for 2011/12) will cease by 2014/15 • Future rates of transitional protection are not yet known • On current numbers and funding methodology, Hertfordshire sixth forms will have an average of 15% less money (approx £10m) in 2014/15 • The funding methodology will be the same for 2012/13

  4. National Funding Rate National rate per Standard Learner Number: 2010/112011/12 • Schools, including academies £3007 £ 2920 • FE Colleges, Sixth Form Colleges £ 2920 £ 2920

Consultation • The DfE launched a consultation on 16-19 funding in October. • Wolf Report called for a revision of the funding system • The new system will continue to apply to all the sectors currently involved • Two changes have already been made since the government came into office: lagged numbers and convergence
