Main, Wichita, KS Program Join colleagues for an informative discussion about strategies to grow existing and new audiences. Spend the afternoon touring historic buildings in Wichita including the Wichita Carnegie Library building. The “Palace of the Plains” Historic Wichita City Hall (Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum) and the Frank Lloyd Wright Allen-Lamb house. 8:30 a.m. Registration and Welcome (Carnegie Library – Fidelity Bank Building) 9:00 a.m. Marketing to New vs. Returning Visitors Kristin Marlett, Director of Marketing & Communications, Botanica Wichita 10:00 a.m. Millenial Audiences: Marketing Strategies for the Under 30 Crowd Dr. Allison McFarland, Professor of Business & Economics, Bethel College 11:00 a.m. New Marketing Trends for Cultural Arts Organizations Jessy Clonts Day, Public Relations & Marketing Manager, Ulrich Museum of Art, Wichita State University  12:00 p.m.. Lunch & Tour (Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum) The “Palace of the Plains,” a striking example of the work of architects Willis Proudfoot and George Bird, was Wichita’s pride and joy when completed in 1892. The tower clock was added in 1917 along with the 1,000-pound bell, and in the 1950s the carillon was installed. Participants will tour the building & tower and view the National Touring Exhibition from The National Building Museum, House & Home. This exhibition explores how our ideal of the perfect house and our experience of what it means to “be at home” have changed over time. 2:30 p.m. Tour Frank Lloyd Wright Allen-Lambe house (Maps provided. Transportation on your own)This residential structure, located at 255 N. Roosevelt, Wichita was designed for the prominent journalist and statesman Henry J. Allen and his wife Elsie J. Nuzman Allen, who was active in local art organizations. Frank Lloyd Wright considered the house "among my best.” The home’s furniture was a collaborative effort between Frank Lloyd Wright and George M. Niedecken who worked with Frank Lloyd Wright on 12 projects over a 15 year period, including the Coonley House, Robie House and the Meyer May House.
