  3. Study of the mainproblem • In nowadaysEuropean societies the consumptionlevelis high asneverbefore. Massive economy gaveopportunity to produce more goods and of course to sell themcheaper. The formation of consumer society highlyinfluenced the enormouspollutionspreading; the usinghasbecomefasteras the life gotfasteraswell. • The migrationlevel from rural to urbanareasisvery high. Approximatelyhalf of the world’spopulationis living in urbanareasat the moment. Itbringsboth positive and negative influence on people’s life. Living in citieshelps to reduce time and expense in commuting and transportationwhileimprovingopportunities for jobs, education, housing, and transportation. Itis just easier to live in the city. On the otherhand, cities are polluted with dust, smoke, garbage and dioxidegases from factories and cars. Thereis a lot of noise and rush aswell. Allthesefactorsnegativelyinfluencebothphysical and mentalhealth of the public.

Analizing the problemswe can study the aims of the project: • With thisproject “RE/Discoverychannel” weseek to educate ourlearnersintroducingthem with a slowersustainable life in eco villages. • „RE/discoverychannel“ aims to create and present to the learnersoutstandingexamples of whatitmeans to live in harmony with nature in a sustainable way. • Weseek to promotecommunitieswhichdevelop and implementtechnologies and practicessuchthat human activities are harmlesslyintegratedinto the natural world in a way thatissupportive of healthy human development and can be successfullycontinuedinto the indefinite future.

Objective of the project: “Surprisingly, with thisproject “RE/Discoverychannel” partner organizations from 4 differentEuropeancountries (Italy, Romania, Turkeyand Hungary) are notseeking to makestepforward, but to step back. Wewant to introduce, teach and learnhow to get back to slow life style: slow and healthyfood, lowconsumption, sharing the goods and the work in general, learninghow to live with feweritemsbuthave the same comfort. The mainmeasure of the projecteducationisvisiting eco villages – gettingintroduced and inspired by sustainable and healthy life style, rediscoveringoldpracticesand learn a different modus vivendi.”

Objectives of the project • - To inform the society about life in eco-villages and eco-householdstrough video reports articles in a media • - To create website with all the rediscoveries and goodpracticefaced in the project • - To encourage and inspire new and existing eco-villageprojects with news about eco-villages • - To organizeinterculturaldiscussionsaboutsustainable life style and environment • - To educate the learnersthroughseminars in theory and through eco workshops in practice • - Bringingdifferent target groupstogether: practicinginterculturaldialogue, fosteringopenness and tolerance • - To improveforeignlanguage (English) skillsduring the interculturaldiscussionbetweenlearners • - Promotion of voluntaryactivities and inclusionespeciallyamongpeople with feweropportunities and theirmobilitythroughout Europe • - Encourageolderpeople to continue working, to stay healthylonger and to continue to contribute to society in other ways, and share theirknowledge with allparticipants. • - Promotion of Europeancooperationbetweendifferentkind of organizations with differentfield of action

  9. Target group: The projectwants to involve aslearnerselderpeople (Europeanyear of Active Ageing) and people with feweropportunities to show themotherpossibilities to be an activecitizen, to have a second chance in their life in a sustainable and eco-friendlyway.
