  1. British council sri lanka ielts (Richcomedu) The British Council in Sri Lanka offers a range of IELTS tests to suit your requirements. Whether you are taking IELTS for immigration, employment, or study purposes, we can provide you with the support you need to ensure you are well prepared for your test. We offer both computer-delivered and paper-based IELTS tests. Computer-delivered IELTS is available up to four times a month, while paper-based IELTS is offered twice a month. You can register for British council sri lanka ielts online or at our customer service center. We recommend that you register online as it is a faster and more convenient process. Once you have registered, you will be given a confirmation email with your test date, time and venue details. Please bring this email with you on the day of your test, as well as your passport or other form of identification. On the day of the test, please arrive at the test center at least 30 minutes before the test is due to start. This will give you time to relax and familiarize yourself with the test surroundings. The IELTS test consists of four parts – listening, reading, writing and speaking. The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes. Listening and reading are completed first, followed by writing and then speaking. The listening and reading sections are multiple-choice and each section becomes progressively more difficult. The writing section consists of two tasks – task 1 is a report and task 2 is an essay. The speaking section is a face-to-face interview with a trained IELTS examiner. IELTS results are reported on a 9-band scale, with each band corresponding to a certain level of English proficiency. Band 9 is the highest level, while band 1 is the lowest. Results are released 13 days after the test date for computer-delivered IELTS and 16 days after the test date for paper-based IELTS. You can access your results online or collect them in person from the British Council customer service center. If you are not satisfied with your results, you can retake the IELTS test free of charge.
