INTRODUCTION • Group B Strep is a type of bacteria that one to three women carry in their vagina. • These bacteria, though benign to women in general, may pose serious and potentially life threatening consequences for baby during birth. • However, with proper screening women who test positive will be treated with an antibiotic during labor to prevent passing these bacteria on to their baby

  3. AIM AND OBJECTIVES • TO FIND PREVELANCE OF GROUP B STREPTOCOCCI • PRIMARY OBJECTIVE : TO ASSESS RELAVENCE OF ROUTINE SCREENING OF GROUP B STREPTOCOCCI • SECONDAR OBJECTIVE : TO FIND RISK GROUP IF ANY, EFFECT ON FEATAL OUTCOME .

  4. MATERIALS AND METHODS • STUDY DESIGN Prospective cohort study STUDY POPULATION Patient attending obstraticsOPD in AFMC,PUNE PLACE OF STUDY Hospital affliated to AFMC pune

  5. MATERIALS AND METHODS • INCLUSION CRITERIA • Pregant Lady of 35-37 wk of POG • EXCLUSION CRITERIA • PROM • Preterm • Pregnancy with hart disease • METHODOLOGY • To study HVS of asymptomatic lady of 35-37 wk POG

  6. MATERIALS AND METHODS • PERIOD OF STUDY • 1 YR • SAMPLE SIZE • 100 PATIENT
