  2. Scott Fazekas & Associates Contract Amendment Amendment to Contract 21,248 Increase contract by $500,000 Authorize City Manager to extend contract up to three additional years for an amount not to exceed $300,000 Appropriate $500,000 from Building Services Fund to cover expenses

Scott Fazekas & Associates Contract Amendment Building & Safety Division reviews all construction plans The demand for these services fluctuates over time To meet peak demand, the City usually contracts with outside consultants to augment internal staff resources After the RFP process, SFA was selected to provide such services A contract for one year or $100,000 was issued with additional 4 one year $100,000 extensions

Scott Fazekas & Associates Contract Amendment The City has seen a sustained increase in the volume of plan checks over the last year Greater need forcontract services to provide plan check During the last six months, the City experienced submittal of many large projectsresulting in 44% increase in valuation compared to last year Recommend that the contract with SFA be increased to $600,000
