Importance of the study Information literacy Skills is a currency for youth nowadays for their success on the study and career development However, the university students in Hong Kong nowadays are not equipped in skills in research and evaluating information. There is not much on information searching in university education. This study is aiming to investigate how the students think of the information literacy they need, and its relationship with the university curriculum, in order to bring some insight to the local universities in integrating information literacy education into the university curriculum in the “3-3-4”.

  3. Data collection & analysis Population: All year 3 students from a local university (about 1200) Stratified Sampling method: Choose 150 students (75 male and 75 female) randomly from each faculty. 1. Students to complete self-administered Questionnaires for students: Questions on their understanding on information literacy, their information searching skills and behavior, their comments on courses of information literacy in curriculum 2. Students are then Randomly select 9 students from 3 different faculties in the university Data analysis: Descriptive statistics and ANOVA and Content analysis
