  1. A vacation in Japan By: Randall Brea

  2. I picked this country because … • I want to go to Japan because I want to learn the culture and language, also learn martial arts. I want to learn how to cook with Japanese ingredients. Pretty much learn as much as I can from the Japanese people as I can in the short amount of time I have.

  3. Year founded … • Japan was founded in 600 BC by the Emperor Jimmu, a direct descendant of the sun goddess and ancestor of the present ruling imperial family.

  4. Religion … • Buddhism first came to Japan in the 6th century and for the next 10 centuries exerted profound influence on its intellectual, artistic, social, and political life. Most funerals are conducted by Buddhist priests, and many Japanese visit family graves and Buddhist temples to pay respects to ancestors.

  5. Popular sports… • Soccer is the main sport in Japan followed by Martial Arts. Martial arts always been a tradition in Japanese culture, martial helps release stress but one of my most favorite Japanese sport is dancing …. http://vimeo.com/2263802Most of the dancer are Japanese…

  6. Currency … • Money in Japan is called Yens. 1000 yens = $7.19. To pass a week of vacation in Japan you need a good $1000 dollars for expenses. Japan is a rich country, it gets is money mostly on farming. One of its main recourses is rice.
