  2. I decided to pick Kingston, Jamaica as my destination.

  3. Flight/Hotel • I searched online for flight and hotel packages and orbitz.com let me customize my own flight/hotel packages. So, I took an American Airlines flight that cost $6962 with The Courtleigh Hotel waiting for me in Kingston.

  4. Working out very well for me, the exchange rate was 1 US dollar to 95.28 Jamaican dollars (JMD).

  5. Lunch The total cost of all of my family’s lunch was $720.

  6. Dinner So my amount of money spent on dinner was $800.

  7. Food Totals • So, the dinners cost $800 along with $720 from lunches forced me to spend $1520 on food. (Breakfast was included with the hotel).

  8. Sightseeing My landmarks cost only $165.70!!!! I got these landmarks from tripadvisor.com. It gave me a great list of a ton of great sightseeing spots in Kingston.

  9. Final Costs • Now, the hotel costs $6962, landmarks $165.70, and food $1520. So, I have a luxury vacation in Jamaica for only $8647.70, with leftover budget money of $6352.30!!!
